Short Duration Courses
Consultancy Services Unit of the Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology offers the following short term programmes:
- Professional Diploma in Oçcupational Health and Safety
- Professional Higher Diploma in Occupational Health and Safty.
- Professional Diploma in Social Work and Rehabilitation.
Duration: Six (6) months.
Entry Qualification: Minimum of Five (5) credits. Additional qualification is an advantage.
Lecture period: Saturdays and Sundays
Opportunities: Persons with certificate in Occupational health and safety can be gainfully employed in any organisation or be self employed as an occupational health and safety officer. Persons with certificate in Social work and rehabilitation can be employed by a nongovernmental organisation and manage community and individual problems. He or she can also float an NGO to manage ucommunity and individual problem at the local, national and international levels.
